What is Ezstackr?

Ezstackr is software featuring a superconverged multi-node, multi-user virtual computing environment, allowing users via a web service interface to launch compute, storage, networks, security and other resources with a variety of operating systems, load them with custom application environment, manage network access permissions, and run images using as many or few systems as you desire.

What is Superconvergence?

During the evolution of the data center, 1st generation DCs were individual silos of IT capability (storage, switching, routing, processing) were the result of decades of technological development.

 

As data center management matured, 2nd generation DCs combined technologies in single boxes, such as multi-service switches, and to continually reduce equipment footprint. In time, physical equipment has been replaced by software through virtualization.

 

Hyperconvergence is 3rd generation technology aiming to simplify data center operations by combining compute, storage and networking in a single system.

 

A superconverged cloud infrastructure, or superconvergence, is an approach to IT resources that integrates network, storage, compute, virtualization and management in a single platform. Driven by the need for increased operational efficiency, superconvergence reduces performance, resource and usage limitations identified in previous IT infrastructure management approaches. It represents a significant step in the evolution of data center technology. It has been called the “4th generation” of IT infrastructure.

What is the use case for Ezstackr?

How to use Ezstackr ?

To use Ezstackr, you or your customers simply:

  • Select a pre-configured, template to get up and running. Or create/import a VM containing your applications, libraries, data, and associated configuration settings
     

  • Configure security and network access
     

  • Choose the resources you want, then start, terminate, and monitor as many instances of VMs as needed, using the web service APIs or the variety of management tools provided
     

  • Determine whether you want to run in multiple locations, utilize static IP endpoints or public IPs

High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) are one of the most important functions in a data center.
