Technical FAQ:


Q Why did the system constantly prompt me for password for my LDAP address book configuration in Netscape 7.0?
A Did you check the Remember Password checkbox? Refer to USer Guide Part II: Configuring Email Clients
   
Q I have successfully configured the LDAP address book settings, but I cannot seem to find the address source.
A For Netscape 7.0 and Microsoft Outlook, you need to restart the client before the new settings set in.
   
Q Can I import from other address book source, eg Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express etc, into the LGA Directory Service?
A Currently there is no support for import of other address book import.
   
Q Where can I change my profile?
A The administration site is at LGA Directory Service
   
Q I have forgotten my password. Where can I retrieve it?
A You cannot retrieve it. Please approach your administrator to reset it.
   
Q I am using xxx Mail client, is it compatible with LGA Directory Services?
A LGA Directory has been tested to work correctly with Outlook Express 6.0, Netscape 7.0 and Microsoft Outlook XP. However, if your mail client supports LDAP, it should work as well. Please refer to your client's document for the configuration details.
   
Q I have successfully auth with the LGA Directory Service server but I cannot seem to perform a search.
A Ensure that you have define the search base, o=. Refer to User Guide II: Configuring Email Clients.
